A personalized retreat built around the two of you and your baby, whom you’re longing to meet.
Our Private Babymoon option is either a three-day or four-day retreat for expecting couples in their second or early third trimester. You'll stay in a mindfully curated resort or boutique hotel on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, eat fresh organic meals made for you, receive therapeutic bodywork, and learn the skills that matter most for birth, breastfeeding, and your first weeks as a family.
Every session is private, and every part of it is shaped around what you need.
It's your baby's first week, and you're tired, but you're not lost. You know how to read each other's signals. You know how to settle your baby and yourselves. You walked into birth feeling prepared rather than hopeful, and you walked out of it still feeling like a team.
Now picture this:
After this retreat, you will:
Feel calmer and more grounded in your body as birth approaches
Communicate as a team under pressure, not just on good days
Know what to expect in birth, the first hour, and the first feeds
Have a shared plan, and the confidence to adapt it
Feel cared for, rested, and genuinely excited about what's ahead

Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist
Prenatal and Perinatal Educator
Founder, Early Beginnings Wellness
Co-Owner, Cedar Guest Cottage
Christina has spent nearly two decades supporting babies, parents, and families through some of life’s most tender transitions.
She is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®) and Prenatal & Perinatal Educator (PPNE), trained to work with the whole family, from pregnancy through birth, breastfeeding, and the earliest weeks of life. Her advanced training includes birth trauma intervention, paediatric Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, infant breastfeeding support, and tongue-tie assessment, so she understands not just how to prepare you for birth, but how to support your baby after it.
Her journey began in early childhood education. Starting in 2007, she trained in Waldorf infant and toddler care through the West Coast Institute, studying embryology, birth, the first three years, and healthy attachment. Together with Hadi, she co-ran La Ronde Child Care, which was recognized as an Outstanding Nominee in Cowichan Success By 6’s Champion for Children Awards in 2011.
Outside her work, she feels most at home in nature: writing poetry, hiking, blogging, and capturing quiet moments through photography on wilderness and travel adventures.

Co-Owner, Cedar Guest Cottage
Hadi is a development consultant specializing in small-footprint residential homes in the Cowichan Valley. He brings a deep appreciation for thoughtful design, sustainability, and spaces that feel both practical and beautiful.
When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him in the garden, cooking without a recipe, reading, or enjoying forest hikes and beach walks.
This is for you if…
You're both excited to prepare for birth and parenthood together
Your relationship feels solid, and you want to make it even stronger before baby arrives
You want practical, hands-on preparation alongside rest and care
You're open to slowing down, trying new things, and being supported
You value investing in your family's foundation now, rather than playing catch-up later
This may not be the right fit if:
Only one of you is interested, and the other is coming along reluctantly. This experience works because you both show up for it.
You're hoping a retreat will fix deeper struggles in your relationship. If you're going through significant conflict, couples counselling is a better first step, and we're happy to point you toward support.
You're looking for a vacation with a few add-on sessions. This is an immersive preparation experience, and the magic comes from engaging fully.
You'd prefer to learn mainly through reading, short workshops or self-paced courses. Our live and on-demand classes may suit you better.

Questions Couples Ask
-
Most couples join between 20 and 32 weeks, when energy is good and travel feels comfortable. We'll help you choose the best timing.
-
Not at all. Everything is gentle, guided, and adapted to you.
-
Your wellbeing and your baby’s always come first. If your care provider advises against travel, or anything changes that means you can’t attend, just let us know. Everything you’ve paid becomes a credit you can use to reschedule your retreat or apply toward private sessions with Christina, including support after your baby is born. Payments are non-refundable, but your investment will always go toward care for your family.
-
This retreat is designed as dedicated time for just the two of you, so it’s for couples only. We know arranging care for your little one can take some planning, which is why we’re happy to schedule your retreat around dates that work for your family. Your older child will benefit, too: you’ll return rested, reconnected, and ready to welcome their new sibling together.
-
All meals are prepared fresh and tailored to you. Let us know when you’re vegetarian, gluten-free, managing allergies, or simply have foods you love (or can’t face right now) when you book and we’ll plan your menu around it.
-
Yes, and you’ll be in gentle, experienced hands. Christina has advanced training in birth trauma and prenatal and perinatal psychology, and your retreat can include space to acknowledge and integrate past experiences at a pace that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to share more than you want to. Many couples find this helps them welcome their new baby with a lighter heart.
